VLSI TRAINING PROGRAMME

VLSI INTRO
Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI) refers to the process of combining an extensive number of transistors into a single integrated circuit (IC). This technology revolutionized electronics by allowing complex circuits to be miniaturized and incorporated into smaller devices, which significantly enhances performance and reduces costs.
Historical Context
VLSI technology began its evolution in the 1970s, moving through various stages of integration. Initially, small-scale integration (SSI) and medium-scale integration (MSI) allowed for only a limited number of transistors. VLSI expanded this capability to incorporate millions to billions of transistors on a single chip, making it possible to design complex systems more efficiently than ever before
